Delete Your Account — Chat for Kids

You can delete your Chat for Kids account — including every child profile you created and all associated data — at any time.

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

1. Sign in as the parent.
2. Open the Dashboard tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
4. Type the confirmation word and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent: your parent account, all child profiles you created, all messages, photos, voice clips, memories, friendships, and location history are removed. End-to-end-encrypted media is crypto-shredded (the encryption keys are destroyed with the account).

Delete some data without deleting the account

You can also delete specific data and keep the account:

• Messages and chats — long-press any message (or use the broom for many at once) to delete it, or delete a whole conversation from the chat list.
• Photos, videos and memories — delete them in the chat or in the Memories screen.
• A child profile — parents can remove a single child (with all their data) from the Family Safety screen without deleting the family account.
• Location history — turn location sharing off in Family Safety; past coordinates are deleted automatically within 30 days.
• Anything else — email us (below) and we delete it within 30 days.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the email address you registered with, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days, then confirm by reply.
